Application Security metrics

The following metrics for Application Security are available.

Dynatrace version 1.222+

Name Description Dimensions
Open security problems (global) Number of currently open security problems seen within the last minute. The metric value is independent of any configured management zone (and thus global). Risk level (Critical, High, Medium, Low, None)
New open security problems (global) Number of security problems that were recently created. The metric value is independent of any configured management zone (and thus global). Risk level (Critical, High, Medium, Low, None)
New muted security problems (global) Number of security problems that were recently muted. The metric value is independent of any configured management zone (and thus global). Risk level (Critical, High, Medium, Low, None)
New resolved security problems (global) Number of security problems that were recently resolved. The metric value is independent of any configured management zone (and thus global). Risk level (Critical, High, Medium, Low, None)

Name Description Dimensions
Vulnerabilities - affected process groups count (global) Total number of unique affected process groups across all open security problems per technology. The metric value is independent of any configured management zone (and thus global). Technology (Java, .NET, Node.js, PHP)
Vulnerabilities - affected not-muted process groups count (global) Total number of unique affected process groups across all open, not muted security problems per technology. The metric value is independent of any configured management zone (and thus global). Technology (Java, .NET, Node.js, PHP)

View metrics

To view Application Security metrics

  1. In the Dynatrace menu, go to Metrics.

  2. Filter by Text: security problems or Text: process groups.

    • If you don't see results, turn off Only show metrics reported after the start of the selected timeframe.
    • You can add more filters (Tag, Unit, Favorites). See Filter and sort the table for details.
  3. Expand Details for any metric to see metric details and a chart of the metric over the selected timeframe.
