In a recent blog post we announced that Ruxit now monitors the availability of your processes. We’ve followed up on this enhancement by adding availability detection for services.
Generally speaking, services inherit their availability from the processes they run on. Ruxit considers a service to be offline when the whole cluster it runs on is unavailable. This can occur when a process is shutdown or crashes. This means you can now distinguish between a service that is available, but is receiving no traffic, and a service that is unavailable because the underlying processes have been stopped or crashed.
