You can launch the web recorder as part of creating a new measurement (Measurements > Add). You can also access the web recorder as part of the measurement editing workflow (Measurements > Edit)—the measurement must previously have been recorded using the web recorder.
Creating a new measurement
Log in to KSC.
Select Measurements > Add.
Choose one of your agreement IDs and click Select; or enter an agreement ID and click OK.
Select a measurement type and where applicable, provisioning option. Click Continue.
Not all measurement types and provisioning options are supported; see Requirements.
On the Configure screen, enter an Alias (name) for the measurement; you can change this later when saving the script. We recommend an alias that makes it easy to identify that the measurement has been created using the web recorder. Select Record Your Script.
You must enter an Alias for the script for the recording option to be effective.
If you do not already have the required Chrome extension, you will be asked to add it. Click Add Keynote Desktop Recorder Extension to Chrome or Add Keynote Mobile Recorder Extension to Chrome.
Click the Add extension button.
When the extension has been installed, you will be presented with the recorder interface and extension logo with controls at the far right of the URL bar.
Proceed with recording your transaction.
Editing a measurement
You can also access the web recorder to edit a script previously created and saved using the KSC web recorder.
In the measurement editing workflow, the web recorder is only accessible for transactions previously recorded using the KSC web recorder.
Log in to KSC.
Select Measurements > Edit.
Choose one of your agreement IDs and click Select; or enter an agreement ID and click OK. Your measurements are listed. You can Filter measurement aliases to locate transactions recorded using the web recorder.
Click a measurement alias to select it. The measurement Configure screen is displayed.
Click Change Script in the Script Details panel at the bottom, then Record Your Script.
The web recorder interface displays the transaction summary of the script you previously recorded.
The action and step thumbnail screenshots are displayed after you Playback the previously recorded transaction.
