Overview

Gemini CLI Monitoring provides centralised observability into Gemini CLI sessions using the CLI’s built‑in OpenTelemetry telemetry. It captures usage, token consumption, operation latency, session activity, and tool-related events from real developer workflows and makes this data available in the Dynatrace AI Observability app. As Gemini CLI emits OpenTelemetry natively, no code changes are required. Once enabled, telemetry from interactive CLI sessions can be analysed using Dynatrace dashboards, the Metrics browser, Log & Event Viewer, and queries, giving teams a consistent way to understand how Gemini CLI behaves during day‑to‑day development.
