Start from a conversation and the agent becomes your expert assistant, in Dynatrace Assist or through the Dynatrace MCP server, wherever you work. Describe it once. Or let it run autonomously on a schedule or trigger, with every run adapting to what the data actually shows. Built from live data, it flags anomalies you didn't ask for, but want to know about.

Shape the report

  1. Enable generative AI and agentic AI for your environment and assign the permissions through a policy. See the getting started documentation.
  2. In Dynatrace Assist, describe the report once. Any prompt becomes a report by adding a framing line: for leadership, "summarize this in a short executive summary"; for density, "summarize the prediction in a compact table".

Schedule it

  1. In Dynatrace Intelligence for Workflows, create an agentic workflow with a time-based or event trigger, add the Prompt agentic AI action, and paste the prompt you tested.
  2. The agent writes the report, and the workflow routes it to email, Slack, Jira, ServiceNow, or a Notebook.
