Overview

Real user monitoring (RUM) is a performance monitoring process that collects detailed data about a user’s interaction with an application. This data includes but is not limited to a variety of metrics. For example, load actions can include navigation start, request start, and speed index metrics.

With Web Monitoring on Dynatrace, user actions are captured to provide a complete picture of a user’s experience to identify performance issues before too many users experience them. In addition, teams can validate whether SLOs are being met, or better understand how users interact with an application in order to streamline the interface.
