Create a request to review and export personal data about a specific end-user. The overview includes details of all requests, including the relevant user identifier, assignees and reviewers, the current status of each request, as well as the defined due date. Audit logs and request policies can be accessed and managed from this page.In the export request form, you specify the user details such as user type, a user identifier to search for matching data in Grail, and the scope of the search in Grail (the timeframe and log buckets).For each created request, the data matching the executed query are returned and can be viewed by number of log records, volume, data residency, as well as number of systems. The reviewer can then approve or reject export of this data.

Overview

Sensitive Data Center enables you to easily comply with and handle your customers’ privacy rights (data subject rights) requests in Grail. Out-of-the-box workflows offer an easy way to search for data relating to a specific end-user, review the returned personal data and decide whether to export it or delete it. Sensitive Data Center also allows you to cleanup any mistakenly ingested data in Grail within a selected timeframe. You can track and follow up on your requests in the request dashboard. All these steps are evidenced with an audit trail to meet your compliance obligations.

Get started

  1. Open Sensitive Data Center and configure whether audit logs for changes should be ingested to the default_logs bucket or to a custom bucket. This setting can be changed later.
  2. Start a request to export personal data and follow the steps by specifying user details, the scope of the search in Grail and by defining a reviewer for the request.
  3. Preview the matching personal data in Grail and customize the DQL query before creating the request.
  4. The reviewer views the details of the request with an overview of log records matching the query and systems with personal data before approving or rejecting export of the data.

Details

  • Sensitive Data Center ingests log entries as audit logs. This allows to audit and download historical actions, such as request creation, request approval, and policy creation.
  • Optionally, to enrich or filter request results, Sensitive Data Center allows users to create and manage request policies, for example to prevent deletion of audit logs and compliance records.
