Overview

Combine the strength of Dynatrace, AIOPS, Application Vulnerability and predictive analytics with your Azure infrastructure:

  • Leverage Dynatrace Workflows to react to insights gathered by AI-based full stack Azure monitoring on resources such as virtual machines and virtual machine scale sets
  • Query and manipulate Azure resources, such as Azure blob storage, resource groups, security rules, tags and more.
  • Seamlessly and securely authenticate with Azure Federated Identity

Use cases

With a broad set of Azure workflow actions, you can enable use cases like:

  • React to problems or outages, restart virtual machines, configure scale sets and more
  • Optimize your cloud costs by leveraging Dynatrace predictive analytics to adjust the correct sizing of your Azure infrastructure
  • Isolate machines in case of identified vulnerabilities or attacks
  • Take snapshots of environments for forensic analysis

A broad set of Azure workflow actions allows you to:

  • Azure Blob: Create snapshot, create container, acquire lease, download, list containers and more
  • Virtual Machine: Delete, Generalize, Install patches, restart, redeploy, run command and more
  • Virtual Machine Scale Sets: create, update, deallocate, restart and more
  • Tags: manage tags by updating or creating tags
  • Resource Groups: list, get, delete, create, update and more
  • Manage Network Interfaces, Subnets, Network Security Groups and more

  • The First Stable Release: Version 1.0.0 Now Available - Version 1.0.0 marks the first fully supported and production‑ready release of the Microsoft Azure Connector, including full support for Networking, Storage, Virtual Machine management and more.
  • Multiple Enhancements for Connectors Management:
    • New Consumer Selection- When creating connections in the Connection Overview, users can now specify the consuming application: Workflows (existing option) or OpenPipeline.
    • Updated Connection Overview - The overview now includes a Consumer App column, indicating whether each connection belongs to Workflows or OpenPipeline.
    • Consumer-Based Filtering - A new filter option above the connection overview allows to view connections by consumer.
    • New Setup Status Column - Added a Setup column to the settings overview to clearly indicate which connection setup steps have been completed.
