Cookie script action

Place a Cookie action anywhere in the script. The cookie is sent on any request that is at or below the path of the URL you enter.

You can use evaluation syntax for the URL and Value field when creating the cookie.

Before you set a cookie, record the script as if the cookie were already set and play it back to make sure it works correctly.

  1. Hold the mouse pointer over the action separator line timeline action separator in the timeline where to insert the cookie.
When you hold the pointer at a point where an action can be added, the symbol appears.

  2. Click to display the list of actions.

  3. Select Cookie.
The Cookie action is added to the timeline.

After adding the cookie, define the cookie properties:

  • Cookie Name
  • Value – Specify a value for the cookie.
  • URL – URL for the path the cookie applies to.

Cookie settings

After you create the cookie, play back the script. When the script plays, the cookie is set.

  1. Add a Cookie action to the timeline where to clear the cookie, as described above.

  2. Enter the name of the Cookie action to clear.

  3. Enter the same URL that you entered for the cookie.

  4. Leave the Value field blank.

Select the Cookie action in the timeline. The delete icon appears at the upper left corner.

Click the delete icon. The Cookie action is removed from the timeline.

Deleting the action cannot be undone. You are not prompted to confirm the deletion.
