Creating a Peer Population blacklist

You can create a Peer Population blacklist for your account to exclude test results from particular machines, groups of IPs, or ISPs that are experiencing known or expected issues. This prevents their test results from skewing the data.

  1. Click > Measurement locations.

  2. Click the:

  3. Click Manage Blacklist.
    The Peer Population Blacklist Setup page appears.

  4. Select a category:

    • To blacklist machines, enter the machine ID in the field and click Add.
      The blacklisted machine ID appears in a table below the machine ID field.
    • To blacklist IPs, enter the IP address in the field and click Add.
      The blacklisted IP appears in a table below the IP field. Note that IPv6 addresses are not supported.
    • To blacklist ISPs, enter text in the Search field. The search results appear in the table dynamically as the search criteria is entered or changed.
      Select the checkbox next to an item to select only that item. Selecting the checkbox above the table to select all items in the table.
  5. Click . The items you selected appear in Blacklisted ISP table.
    Note that the ISP list shows 90 days of search history data.

  6. Optionally, to remove an item from the blacklist:

    • Select the checkbox next to an item to select only that value.

    • Select the checkbox above the table to select all items in the table.
      For machine IDs and IPs, click Remove. For ISPs, click .

  7. Click Submit.
