End-to-end Observability

Manual tagging is also required to understand the dependencies between different entities and is error prone in complex and dynamics environments.

Datadog Watchdog is heavily dependent on setting up “Monitors”. It considers a limited set of data for baselining and relies on manual tagging for topology mapping (understanding dependencies).

Dynatrace has a simple and flexible annual commit, with no monthly overages. Customers can easily manage and forecast Dynatrace spend.

Datadog has 24 products that are licensed differently with limitations. Customers are billed monthly on an annual commit and can incur overages. Additionally, customers are billed at high watermark levels.
