Get to know the virtual platform

How do I access the virtual Perform platform?

  • You must be registered to attend Perform 2022
  • You will need your log in credentials that were sent via email in order to access the platform
  • The event platform will open to attendees one hour before the event begins
  • Run a system check to ensure your computer is configured properly for the virtual event platform.
  • Run a compatibility check, which tests your webcam and audio devices.

Is there an opportunity to network with other attendees and Dynatrace experts?

Be a part of the conversation and network with other attendees on our Dynatrace Perform Slack Workspace. You will find different channels for discussing specific topics and breakout tracks in a public setting or have private 1:1 chats to help shape meaningful connections throughout the event. Make sure to update your profile with your name and company.

The chat will be monitored during each regional livestream event - if you have a question or comment during offline hours feel free to post it and we will answer when we are back online.

What if I need technical support during the event?

For tech support or issues logging into the platform please email perform@dynatrace.ai and we will be able to assist. For questions you may have about the Slack workspace or the event in general please use the #helpdesk channel on Slack. If we’re not in, we’ll answer any questions as soon as we get online.

When is tech support available?

Event staff with be monitoring the #helpdesk channel in Slack during the live event during the following hours in each region:

What is Perform 2022?

Perform is our annual flagship conference that brings together tech leaders, visionaries, and Dynatrace experts with customers, prospects, and partners. Over four virtual days - two days of deep-dive training and certifications, and two days of live mainstage keynotes, breakout sessions, and customer panels - we’ll share insights on industry trends, showcase the latest innovations in our platform, and explore ways businesses can change the game and innovate faster with higher quality, operate more efficiently and deliver better business results consistently.

When and where will Perform take place?

Perform 2022 will take place virtually in your time zone – February 9-10 (Americas) and February 10-11 (EMEA and APAC).

Registration

How do I register?

How much does it cost to attend Perform 2022?

Perform is a free virtual event. Hands-On-Training (HoT) Sessions cost $500 USD per half day session.

Can I use FlexPoints for Perform?

Yes, it’s possible to use your Flexpoints for Hands-On-Training session registration - 1 Flexpoint per session.

How do I know if my company has FlexPoints?

Please contact your Account Manager or get in touch with the Perform team at flexpointsforperform@dynatrace.com.

I received a registration/promo code for my HOT sessions; how do I use this?

If you have a registration/promo code, enter it in the checkout page when you register for your HOT session(s).

How does the conference registration fee charge appear on my credit card statement?

The charge will post as a transaction with “Dynatrace”.

Will I receive a receipt for my registration fee?

Yes. A receipt will be emailed to you with your confirmation. If you do not receive a confirmation, please contact perform@dynatrace.ai.

I can no longer attend. How do I transfer my event registration to someone else?

Registrations can be transferred. Please contact Perform@dynatrace.ai for more information.

Hands-on training (HoT) sessions & certification

What are Hands-on Training sessions?

HoT sessions are moving to virtual! The most in-depth training in the industry conducted live with some of the smartest engineers on the planet. These deep-dive sessions are customers’ best chance to learn how to use the Dynatrace platform to work smarter, automate more, and future-proof themselves and their companies.

When and where will HoT sessions take place?

REGISTRATION FOR THE PERFORM 2022 HOT SESSIONS OCCURRING ON FEB 7TH AND 8TH IS NOW CLOSED.
However, stay tuned for a potential opportunity to register for some of the top Perform HOT sessions soon

Hands-on-Training sessions will be held virtually during each of the following three time slots:

  • Monday, February 7th from 1pm – 5pm PST
  • Tuesday, February 8th from 8am – 12pm PST
  • Tuesday, February 8th from 1pm – 5pm PST

What is the cost of a virtual HoT session?

$500 per session or 1 Flexpoint.

How will in-person HoT Day refunds be handled?

Every in-person HoT session registration will automatically convert to a virtual HoT session registration.

What do I need to attend my HoT Session?

You’ll need a laptop that meets the Dynatrace web UI requirements. You’ll also want to review the specific prerequisites for the session(s) you’ve decided to register for, which can view in your virtual classroom. To access your virtual classroom, click on the virtual classroom link in your confirmation email.

I have questions about what HoT Session to attend, who do I contact?

Please contact the Perform team at perform@dynatrace.ai and we’d love to help you find the best-suited session(s) for you.

If a HoT Session is sold out, can I still attend?

Unfortunately, once a session is full, it is closed. We are unable to add any additional people after capacity - we encourage you to register for your desired session as soon as possible!

What do “Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced mean?

Beginner sessions are for those new to Dynatrace, who have no Dynatrace certification. Intermediate sessions are best for those who are Dynatrace Associate certified or have equivalent Dynatrace knowledge. Advanced sessions are ideal for anyone Dynatrace Professional certified, or with equivalent Dynatrace knowledge.

How do I sign up and then prepare for my certification exam?

To take advantage of your free certification attempt you must first request your promo code after Perform 2022 is finished from performcertification@dynatrace.com. Promo codes will be sent out by February 18th. Attending the conference qualifies you for a free Associate attempt. Purchasing HoT sessions qualifies you for a free Professional attempt if you are already Associate Certified. After receiving your Promo Code, you can go to the Dynatrace University Certification page to prepare for and schedule your exam.

Please note this is a limited-time promotion associated with the Perform 2022 event. You must use the free attempt you request and receive by March 31st, 2022, 5:00 PM Eastern Time. There will be no exceptions, reissuing of codes, or extensions for any reason for this promotion.

We highly recommend setting the date and time for your exam as soon as you receive your code to avoid missing the time frame. You can set yourself up for success in taking the exam by ensuring your network and equipment meet all requirements that are linked in the exam appointment confirmation for taking the certification exam remotely. Please note exam may be proctored via Zoom or GoToMeeting and therefore your system must be ready to utilize either of those tools to take the exam before the date and time of your exam.

Refunds and transition to virtual

Why has Perform moved to a fully-virtual event?

Given the surge in COVID-19 cases around the world, we feel that we need to prioritize the safety of our attendees, partners, and team. Our team has reviewed recent news and guidance from the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention, the World Health Organization, as well as federal, state, & local health agencies regarding events and travel, and have decided to make Dynatrace Perform 2022 a fully virtual event.

How will in-person registration refunds be handled?

Every in-person conference registration will automatically convert to a virtual conference registration and a full refund will be given. Please allow 60 days for refunds to be processed.

If you used FlexPoints to pay for your registration, points will be reimbursed back to you in full.

What if I pre-paid for my hotel during registration?

If you pre-paid for your hotel room during our registration process, you will be refunded in full.

What if I already bought my flight for Perform?

Airlines are now providing credits and refunds depending on your booking parameters. To cancel all flights, please contact your travel agent or the airline directly.
