Live webinar: Diagnosing and boosting Java application performance with Dynatrace
Learn how to expand your performance bottleneck search arsenal beyond PurePath using the power of Dynatrace and AppMon
Java Applications tend to be scattered, and it is not always easy to diagnose performance issues. In this session, Wayne Segar, Dynatrace Solution Consultant, examines some of the toughest problems solved in the last few years. We learn from him how to expand your performance bottleneck search arsenal beyond PurePath using the power of Dynatrace and AppMon. At the end of the Performance Clinic, we will be open for general Q&A and happy to answer any Dynatrace-related questions you may have
How do you connect technical problems to business problems? This session will walk you through how to use Dynatrace RUM to better understand how issues are impacting your end users. We will walk through how to define conversion rates, understand how performance impacts bounce rates, unlock different digital touchpoints, diagnose client side problems, view individual user sessions and give a view into replay what a user saw during their sessions
Besides shifting-left performance and quality engineering, it is important to build resiliency into your delivery pipeline. Builds that don’t have the right quality must not be promoted to the next pipeline phase by applying AI-driven quality gates. Builds or deployment changes in production that negatively impact end-user experience, resource consumption, or operational costs must be auto- remediated with actions such as scaling out, re-deploy, or rollbacks. In this hands-on, we will build a continuous delivery pipeline with automated AI-driven quality gates from CI through CD all the way into production. We will implement this using available cloud services from AWS (CodeDeploy, CodePipeline, Lambda, EC2) and Dynatrace
DC RUM release 12.4 will no longer be supported after June 30, 2018. We recommend that you upgrade to DC RUM 2017 May, which is the best release currently available in terms of features and security.
Dynatrace OneAgent automatically detects your process groups based on technology, such as Tomcat, IIS, or Node.js. Dynatrace enables you to define custom Process Group Detection rules (similar to Agent Groups in AppMon) to better manage your processes that look the same from the outside but are different from the inside. In this session, Mike Gibbons, Guardian Team Lead at Dynatrace, explains the concepts of Process Groups, how to define custom Process Group Detection Rules, and shares common best practices based on large Dynatrace installations.
Dynatrace OneAgent automatically monitors your hosts, processes, containers, services and applications. A key concept to modern monitoring of very large and dynamic environments is to use proper tagging. In this 101 session Mike Gibbons, Guardian Team Lead at Dynatrace, explains the concepts of tags in Dynatrace. We learn about how Dynatrace extracts metadata for every entity (host, process, container, service, application) and automatically applies tags for smarter monitoring, charting and alerting. We also learn about alternative concepts to tagging such as manual tagging or tagging via the REST API. At the end of the Performance Clinic, we will be open for general Q&A and happy to answer any Dynatrace-related questions you may have
