BOSTON, Mass. – Aug. 1, 2018 – Software intelligence company, Dynatrace, today announced that it has been named a 2018 Gartner Peer Insights Customers’ Choice for Application Performance Monitoring Suites. Gartner defines Application Performance Monitoring (APM) Suites as one or more software and/or hardware components that facilitate monitoring to meet three main functional dimensions: (1) Digital experience monitoring (DEM) (2) Application discovery, tracing and diagnostics (ADTD) (3) Artificial intelligence for IT operations (AIOps) for applications.

The Gartner Peer Insights Customers’ Choice Distinction is based on feedback and ratings from end-user professionals with experience purchasing, implementing and/or using the product or service. Vendors must have a minimum of 50 published reviews, with an average overall rating of 4.2 stars or higher, to be named a Gartner Peer Insights Customers’ Choice.

Dynatrace garnered 301 verified customer reviews, the highest number of reviews submitted among those vendors designated as a 2018 Gartner Peer Insights Customers’ Choice, totaling an average 4.4 out of 5 rating as of August 1, 2018.

Some of the reviews that contributed to Dynatrace’s recognition:

John Van Siclen, CEO at Dynatrace, stated, “We’re happy when our customers are successful, which means we need to stay on top of our game; constantly evaluating how the IT and cloud landscape is changing, and the challenges this might throw at our customers now, and in the future.

“When we saw the cloud on the horizon – hybrid, multi-cloud, microservices and webscale – we knew it would create disruption for ITOM tooling, including APM. Complexity would go off the chart, virtualization would shift infrastructure and network monitoring to a software discipline, dynamic container environments would render classic agent instrumentation techniques obsolete. We took a radical approach and reinvented our monitoring platform from the ground up, automatic and easy, with AIOps at the core.  This new platform is now powering the clouds behind the digital transformation of hundreds of the world’s greatest brands.

“A massive thank you to all who support us, and to our future customers too. You have the hardest job on the planet, driving software defined digital transformation, but we are here to lift the pressure from you, remove guesswork and make your life easier. Thank you to everyone who reviewed us and made us a Gartner Peer Insights Customers’ Choice for 2018 for APM Suites.”

Earlier this year, Dynatrace was named a Leader by industry experts in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Application Performance Monitoring Suites, and was positioned furthest to the right on Gartner’s completeness of vision axis. Dynatrace is the only company to hold a Leader position across all eight iterations of this Gartner Magic Quadrant report.
