Prime Therapeutics (“Prime”) helps millions of Americans access affordable, high-quality care by managing pharmacy and medical benefits. Its mission is to make the process of receiving care and medication as seamless as possible for members, clinicians, and pharmacists.

To fulfill that mission, Prime must ensure its internal systems—spanning claims processing, specialty drug management, and clinical decision support—are fast, reliable, and efficient. The company embarked on a significant modernization program to drive those capabilities by migrating on-premise applications to the cloud primarily using AWS.

As Prime’s technology stack evolved, it was increasingly important to maintain clear, end-to-end visibility. The company realized that multiple monitoring tools meant teams were often looking at different data sets, making it more difficult to understand the full picture. To sustain reliability and efficiency at scale, Prime Therapeutics sought to unify its observability toolsets.
