Most AI developer tools operate without any knowledge of how software actually behaves in production. Dynatrace is in a unique position to change that.

The AI Observability team builds experiences that help developers, product teams, and data scientists evaluate, understand, optimize, and secure Agents, generative AI applications, LLMs, and agentic systems. Our end-to-end observability and evaluation capabilities make it easier to measure quality, investigate unexpected behavior, improve performance, and operate AI systems reliably at scale on production.

• Design and ship developer-facing UX for AI observability Evaluation experience, working hands-on across the full product design lifecycle
• Guide the end-to-end user journey and experience for AI-native developers and agentic engineering workflows
• Build products tailored specifically for engineers, product managers and data scientists — not generic B2C or B2B users
• Collaborate cross-functionally to scale the experience across multiple open-source projects
• Work within and help evolve our existing design system
• Bring technical fluency to design decisions — translating observability and monitoring concepts into intuitive developer experiences
• Leverage AI tooling (Claude Code, Codex, Antigravity, and similar) as part of your own design and prototyping workflow

What will help you succeed

• 6+ years or equivalent demonstrated expertise designing and shipping software products as a hands-on individual contributor, with recent craft experience
• Proven experience building technical products specifically for engineers or data scientists
• Background designing developer experiences or engineering tools (CLI, SDK), ideally with open-source exposure
• Solid technical fluency in observability, monitoring, or related engineering domains
• Proficiency with modern AI tooling (Claude Code, Codex, Antigravity, or comparable)

The ability to operate in ambiguity. AI is reshaping how we work and not everything is defined. We want designers who experiment, form opinions, and propose direction.

Compensation and Rewards

• We offer attractive compensation packages and stock purchase options with numerous benefits and advantages.
• Due to legal reasons, we are obliged to list a salary range for this position, which is € 61,000 up to €76,000 gross per year based on full-time employment (38.5 h/week).
