Dynatracers come from many different cultures and speak many languages, but English is the one that connects us all (60+ nationalities). Your buddy may help you during your first months at work with tips for your relocation as well as social integration. They'll also lead you through the Dynatrace galaxy.

Dynatrace accepts applicants from all over the world, no matter which passport they hold. We help you organize all the essential documentation before joining Dynatrace and accompany you on any necessary visits to local government offices.

From project meetings to coffee chats and celebrations, English is our primary working language. You'll feel right at home in our international team and office community, with no language barriers to hold you back.

Most Austrians speak really good English. But speaking German will make your day-to-day life easier. We offer a range of options for language learning suitable for beginners but also advanced.

Meet Marcio, relocated from Brazil
"I have been working with observability for 20 years. Every time I said I was moving to Austria to work in technology, everyone looked funny at me, like, 'Why Austria?' Well, why not work for the industry leader in the topic I'm most passionate about?"
— Marcio
, Senior Director, Agentic Observability

Meet Vicky, relocated from Argentina
"I don't feel on my own. I relocated alone, but I think it gives you space for new people in your life. I found a new community here at Dynatrace—both locals and internationals. We always meet for coffee, beer, or dinner. I feel at home in Linz."
— Vicky
, Senior Product Experience Designer

Meet Gordon, relocated from the UK
"I’ve actually only recently started running and this is one example of something that I am doing in Austria that I didn’t do in the UK. It’s just so much more convenient and beautiful to run right next to the Danube."
— Gordon
, Director, AI Product Innovation

Meet Denise, relocated from China
"I was living in Finland, but I'm originally from China, so many documents had to be fetched from there. I got a lot of support from the agency working with Dynatrace. They helped me manage everything and made the whole process much smoother."
— Denise
, Seniore Visual Designer

For Austria, the visa and work permit process usually takes around three months from application to approval. Processing times vary by location — applications handled in Linz tend to move faster than those in Vienna. We'll support you through the process and keep you updated on where things stand.
Yes, that's possible. However, many Dynatracers chose to move together from the start.
Kids can join international schools like ABIS, LISA, and HTL Leonding, which run from September to July, so arriving together often makes the transition easier for everyone.
Whichever you choose, our relocation team will support you and your family through the process.
Yes, you can always visit home and work from there for part of the time. Dynatrace offers ten workation days a year, which you can use to work remotely from another country. Some colleagues combine those days with time off and spend up to a month back home.
Linz is Austria's third-largest city and has developed a real tech scene around applied AI, machine learning, cloud-native technologies, and industrial IT.
Its universities are strong in technology, and graduates have gone on to found startups here that grew into international companies — Dynatrace among them. There's an active meetup culture too, including Cloud Native Linz and GDG Linz.
Vienna operates at a different scale: a much larger tech and startup ecosystem, more international companies, and one of the biggest expat populations in Europe.
On the expat side, both cities have established communities — internationals meetups, language exchanges, and country-specific groups. Linz's is smaller but easier to break into; Vienna's is larger and more anonymous.
At Dynatrace, a lot of the connection happens through colleagues: with people from 60+ countries at our Engineering HQ, most newcomers find others who arrived the same way.
