Monitoring of your SaaS installation of Mongo DB (Atlas).
With fully SaaS managed solutions, it isn't always possible to deploy an agent inside your applications. The Mongo DB Atlas extension uses a REST API to extract valuable information from your database remotely.
For SaaS deployments of Mongo DB where the oneAgent cannot be installed.
Only compatible with fully SaaS managed Mongo DB.

Licensing Consumption
The extension consumes DDU Units. The amount of DDUs units depends on the number of instances.
Requirements
Only compatible with fully SaaS managed Mongo DB. This extension is deployed on an Activate Gate and will connect remotely to your Mongo DB Atlas instance. Connectivity from your Active Gate to Atlas is required. Enter your project ID and token on the configuration screen. It can be used with or without a proxy.
The MongoDB API key which consists of a public and private key must be defined on the MongoDB Atlas organization level with a permissions Organization Read Only as a bare minimum.
Troubleshooting
If you get the following error: Configuration error (Cannot find group name), go to https://cloud.mongodb.com/api/atlas/v1.0/groups/YOUR_PROJECT_ID in a browser and enter your API user and API token. If you see the same error, the API key isn't configured properly. Please note that the Key is usually only allowed from specific IP addresses so ensure you issue the request from a valid one.

Unzip the extension file to an active gate with Extensions 1.0 enabled (usually the default) into:
For linux ensure that the folders and files are not only readable by root.
Go to the Dynatrace UI under settings/monitored technologies/custom technologies
and press upload extension. Load the zip file.
A new line will appear in the list of custom extension called MongoDB Atlas.
Configure the endpoint.
Select the active gate where the extension has been deployed.
Press update
The extension will be activated within 2-3 minutes.
To view the data, go to technologies and processes, look for MongoDb atlas.
The endpoint should appear at the bottom of the screen.
