dynaTrace Presents SharePoint integration at TechEd

Demonstration of award-winning dynaTrace Diagnostics 2.6 with Visual Studio, VSTS Test and SharePoint integration at TechEd Developers June 5

Boston – 3 June 2008 – dynaTrace software, the award-winning leader in lifecycle application performance management for distributed .NET and Java applications, will present at Microsoft TechEd Developers 2008 and demonstrate its newest version of dynaTrace Diagnostics, which extends lifecycle performance management to individual SharePoint sites running inside Microsoft’s Internet Information Server, enabling performance diagnosis during development, testing and production operations of SharePoint applications.

dynaTrace Senior Performance Architect and Evangelist for Microsoft Solutions Andreas Grabner will present dynaTrace Diagnostics 2.6 during session TLA201 “Microsoft Visual Studio in Cross-Platform Environments” on June 5 at 4:30 pm, and will demonstrate integration with Visual Studio and Visual Studio Team Edition for Testers in diagnosing performance issues in SharePoint applications.

dynaTrace Diagnostics core is PurePath Technology®: technology enabling transaction tracing across physical and logical tiers, whether.NET or Java. While tracing, PurePath measures the performance of individual servers, components and method borders (where problems occur), enhancing those findings with correlated contextual information such as logs, exceptions and method arguments (why problems occur).

dynaTrace Diagnostics 2.6 enables Microsoft SharePoint customers to manage performance and service-level fulfilment of individual SharePoint sites running inside the same IIS6+ instance, identify slow SharePoint Web Parts, and diagnose the root cause of performance problems in individual Web Parts.

Furthermore, dynaTrace Diagnostics 2.6 assists SharePoint customers in managing the performance of SharePoint applications across the entire life-cycle: in development via code-link integration with Microsoft Visual Studio; in testing, through integration with Visual Studio Team Edition for Testers powering automated tests of entire SharePoint Sites or Pages running on a MS Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) consisting of multiple Web Parts; and in production with 24x7 monitoring/diagnostics tracing discrete transactions from individual SharePoint Sites, so operations can send the PurePath of any poor-performing SharePoint transaction directly to development or testing for root-cause analysis.

About dynaTrace software, Inc.

dynaTrace is the leader in lifecycle application performance management for business-critical .NET and Java applications. dynaTrace’s PurePath Technology® is the only solution that captures data on all individual transactions down to code level by tracing their “PurePath” across multiple physical and logical tiers – even 24x7 under load in production – enabling customers to move beyond monitoring to diagnosis and prevention. In each application lifecycle stage – development, QA, staging, production – IT personnel now can see and understand where and why performance issues exist. With dynaTrace, enterprises gain better understanding of their applications’ dynamic behavior and how it impacts their business, allowing them to rapidly reconstruct problems to identify the root-cause and fix it.
