Compuware to Speak on Cloud Performance SLAs at Cloud Connect 2012 Conference
DETROIT--Feb 8, 2012--Compuware Corporation
(Nasdaq: CPWR), the technology performance company, today announced that Michael
Kopp, Technology Strategist for Compuware dynaTrace,
will present a session titled:
"SLAs and Performance in the Cloud: Because There is More Than 'Just' Availability"
at the Cloud Connect 2012 Conference
in Santa, Clara, California.
Service level agreements (SLAs) are only useful if
they guarantee a certain level of quality. Current cloud SLAs cover availability
but ignore key ingredients: response and throughput performance. A true performance
SLA would need to relate to the application’s performance, something that no cloud
provider has control over. This session will explore how application performance
monitoring can be used to define, measure and enforce a usable SLA for both sides.
Session Title: SLAs and Performance in the Cloud: Because There is More Than "Just"
Availability
When: Tuesday, February 14, 2012
Time: 3:45 p.m. Pacific time
Where: Cloud Connect 2012, Santa Clara Convention Center, Santa Clara, CA
What: During this session, attendees will learn:
- how application performance monitoring can be used to enforce SLAs;
- about the
differences between IaaS and PaaS cloud providers in relation to SLAs;
- how SLAs
can lead to better user experience with less R&D effort; and
- how to easily compare
cloud performance across vendors in terms that really matter: response time per
cost.
Speaker: Michael Kopp is a technology strategist in the dynaTrace center of excellence
and has more than 10 years of experience as an architect and developer in the Java/JEE
space. Additionally, Kopp specializes in architecture and performance of large scale
production deployments with a special focus on virtualization and cloud.
Compuware dynaTrace will be exhibiting at Cloud Connect 2012, February 14-15 at
booth #822.
