Educational Offerings
dynaTrace offers comprehensive educational services that enables
users to make the most of their dynaTrace investment. We provide a multi-channel
learning platform designed to accelerate your ability to deploy and use
dynaTrace, ensuring you are able to gain value as quickly as possible.
After the initial phases of adoption, we provide continuing education options
designed to encourage continuous usage as well as continued maturity with
application performance management (APM) disciplines and dynaTrace throughout
your organization. dynaTrace’s educational offerings target a variety of
audiences: Developers, architectsters,
application management and operations teams.
The courses can be delivered at your location or at dynaTrace hosted training centers.
On-site classes can be customized based on your audience and application needs, e.g.
in case of mixed target audiences.
Learning Objectives for Developers and Architects
Analysis & Diagnostics
This course covers Continuous Lifecycle APM concepts and tracking down performance-,
architecture and resource bottlenecks. You will learn to proactively perform
Architecture Validation, locate problems in 3 Clicks to Root Cause, re-construct
and diagnose production and test-center problems, translate technical data to business
relevant information, identify performance characteristics and trends, understand
the impact of changes and new releases, prevent multi-user bottlenecks.
Best Practices
This course shows how to analyze real world applications based on dynaTrace
best practices and how to automate APM in development. It covers auto-diagnostics
for quicker problem pin pointing, advanced and automatic configuration and refinement
strategies, continuous integration and automated APM, sampling based profiling and
diagnostics, integration of custom remoting protocols, developing plugins to extend
dynaTrace.
Learning Objectives for Testers
Analysis & Diagnostics
This course covers Continuous Lifecycle APM concepts and turning black box
into gray box testing to better understand what you test. You’ll learn to
identify performance characteristics and trends, translate technical data to business
relevant information, understand the impact of new releases through regression and
impact analysis, prevent multi-user bottlenecks through thread and synchronization
analysis, identify and locate resource- and memory bottlenecks, automatically report
alerts in case of problems, accelerate communications with development teams by
passing on detailed dynaTrace diagnostics data.
Best Practices
This course shows how to discover, understand and analyze real world applications
based on dynaTrace best practices and how to automate APM in test-centers. You’ll
learn to turn black box into white box testing through deep diagnostics,
use auto-diagnostics for even quicker problem pin pointing, apply advanced and automatic
sensor configuration and refinement strategies, integrate load and functional testing,
automate performance, impact- and regression tests.
Learning Objectives for Operations and Application Management
Monitor, Triage, Operate
This course covers Continuous Lifecycle APM concepts and how to raise monitoring
data to management visibility. You’ll learn to monitor application performance and
SLAs, monitor health & resources (application, system, JVM and CLR), find, triage
and assign problems quickly, pull in “any” data through dynaTrace’s open plugin
architecture, understand system and application components and behavior, translate
technical monitoring to business level monitoring, deploy, scale & operate dynaTrace,
accelerate communications by passing on detailed dynaTrace production diagnostics
data, manage users and security.
Advanced Application Management
This course shows how to integrate dynaTrace with your environment and to automate
APM tasks. You’ll learn to understand end user behavior, automate dynaTrace tasks,
go beyond monitoring (triage and diagnose problems), understand application dependencies
and architecture, understand the impact of new releases through performance regression
and impact analysis, adjust and optimize sensor configuration, optimize diagnostics-depth
and overhead ratio.
