Announcements
Discontinue legacy Kubernetes container metrics
Infrastructure Monitoring | Kubernetes
The following metrics will be discontinued starting with Dynatrace version 1.264:
Already persisted data can still be read and analyzed, but no data will be migrated into the new metrics. In case any of these six metrics is still in use, please migrate to the superseding metric mentioned in the respective metric description.
New features and enhancements
Enriched Security overview
Application Security | Vulnerabilities
Application Security | Attacks
On the Application Security overview page, the following new features are available:
-
The infographic of key features now displays the number of
- Critical third-party vulnerabilities
- Code-level vulnerabilities
- If code-level vulnerability detection is disabled, this feature isn't displayed.
- Attacks that happened over the last 30 days
- If Runtime Application Protection isn't activated and enabled, this feature isn't displayed.
-
A new tab for code-level vulnerabilities displays
- The currently open code-level vulnerabilities and the evolution of code-level vulnerabilities over the last 30 days.
- A chart of the code-level vulnerabilities in your global environment over the last 30 days.
- If code-level vulnerability detection is disabled, the code-level vulnerabilities tab is not displayed.
Management zones in metric events
Cross Solutions | Davis AI
Users with permission from management zones can now create metric event configurations. Additionally, they can now see all configurations belonging to their management zones.
Management zones set up via the dimensional data rules are not supported for metric events.
Event descriptions
Cross Solutions | Davis AI
Descriptions of built-in events are now available via the Events API v2.
Property filter in problem alerting profiles
Cross Solutions | Davis AI
In addition to the custom event filtering rules in problem alerting profiles, the property filter has been added. This allows filtering by key:value properties. The new property filter can join up to 20 properties and group them by AND logic.
PVC monitoring outside the Kubernetes cluster
Infrastructure Monitoring | Kubernetes
The Monitor persistent volume claims setting is now also available if your ActiveGate is running outside the Kubernetes cluster, and therefore can be enabled via the Kubernetes monitoring settings defined by the API URL and bearer token. To enable this feature, grant the node/metrics
permission on the ClusterRole used for Kubernetes API monitoring.
Enable ActiveGate properties for namespace entity extraction
Infrastructure Monitoring | Kubernetes
Persistent volume claim metrics are now enriched with namespace entity.
Number of conditions on Kubernetes workload page
Infrastructure Monitoring | Kubernetes
On the Kubernetes workload page, the number of conditions is now dynamically displayed in Conditions on the notifications bar.
Host page properties
Infrastructure Monitoring | Hosts
The following properties are now added to the host overview page:
- Paas type
- Paas memory limit
- Cloud foundry foundation
- BOSH stemcell version
Host page AWS properties
Infrastructure Monitoring | Hosts
The following AWS properties are now added to the host overview page:
- AWS name tag
- Beanstalk environment name
- Security groups
Cross Solutions | Davis AI
Users with permission from management zones can now create metric event configurations. Additionally, they can now see all configurations belonging to their management zones.
Management zones set up via the dimensional data rules are not supported for metric events.

Cluster
- In the problem alerting profile evaluation summary, disabled event title and description filters are now correctly reflected in the evaluation summary. (DAVIS-3438)
- Corrected 403 error related to IAM permissions that occurred when creating a calculated service metric via multidimensional analysis. (TI-5097)
- Severity of logs "ActiveGate not found" and "failed to assign config to ActiveGate" changed from "Warning" to "Error". (EXT-3710)
- Fixed issue where RUM was not disabled on Dynatrace Managed environments when the DEM quota was exceeded. (LIMA-6257)
- We fixed an issue where higher port numbers are displayed incorrectly on the Kubernetes service ports table. (K8S-5038)
- Fixed issue that prevented adding extensions with process grouping rules. (HOST-2140)
- Fixed: user with Management Zone only access rights might get unexpected 403 page when editing host's plugins configuration. (TI-5183)
- In addition to the custom event filtering rules in problem alerting profiles, the property filter has been added. This allows filtering by key:value properties. The new property filter can join up to 20 properties and group them by AND logic. (DAVIS-2672)
- Resolved issue that caused anomaly detection settings for device application key user actions to be ignored if the device application's load was dropped completely. (DAVIS-3419)
ActiveGate
- Misleading description of unsupported option `--enable-synthetic --disable-browser-monitors` has been removed from ActiveGate installer help. (DMX-2850)
Synthetic monitoring
- Corrected error that could prevent changing frequency and/or locations for a Synthetic monitor in the web UI. (SYNTH-3633)
