Dynatrace Managed release notes version 1.204

These release notes relate to Dynatrace Managed specific changes. To learn about general Dynatrace changes included in this Dynatrace Managed release, see:

New features and enhancements

General

To free disk space, log files related to metric and configuration storage, in addition to Elasticsearch log files, are now automatically deleted after two months.

Cluster Management Console

The Cluster nodes overview page now displays Dynatrace version and transaction storage size details for each node.

Cluster events that are triggered by Adaptive Load Reduction now include the reason why such events are triggered.

Backup improvements:

  • To prevent full disk space utilization, Elasticsearch data backups are now paused until Dynatrace removes older data snapshots.
  • Previous metric storage and configuration data backups are now removed once the new backups are completed. This ensures that at least one backup is present at all times. This means that twice the normal amount of disk space is required to store both the newest and the most recent backups.

Installation and upgrade

Dynatrace Managed is now also supported on:

  • Ubuntu 20.04
  • Oracle Linux 8

For more information, see Dynatrace Managed system requirements.

  • Refined the response when querying metrics endpoint with a writtenSince filter specified. (Previously, if no data points were written within the filtered timeframe, an error with status code 400 was returned; now this returns an empty data response with status code 200.) (APM-256808)
  • Resolved issue in which, in the Events API, the next page cursor lost event type filter when navigating to the third page. The cursor now takes the eventType and entityId from the previous cursor if eventType and entityId are not explicitly specified. (APM-256140)
