New features and enhancements
Product news
- Who will watch the watchers? Extended infrastructure observability for WSO2 API Manager
The Dynatrace WSO2 API Manager monitoring extension leverages the Dynatrace Davis AI to watch for unforeseen changes in underlying API responsiveness and automatically identify slowdowns in the performance of your API manager and point you to their root cause.
- Simplify cloud operations with automated observability into your Azure Automation service
Azure Automation provides an extremely powerful set of tools for automating operations within enterprises on hybrid cloud. Unlike other monitoring tools on the market, which don’t provide AI-driven anomaly detection and alerting, Dynatrace delivers real-time data to track the status of all your runbooks and alerts you of any performance issues related to the jobs running […]
- Full visibility into your serverless applications with AI-powered Azure Functions monitoring
For deep visibility into your code running in Azure Functions, Dynatrace announces the General Availability of support for both the 2.x and 3.x runtime versions of Azure Functions running in an Azure App Service plan.
- Boost application performance with improved CPU analysis across all your deep-monitored workloads
With Dynatrace version 1.198, we've dramatically improved CPU analysis, allowing you to easily understand CPU consumption over time, in the context of your workloads.
- Increased security of email notifications sent by Dynatrace with DMARC protocol
Most enterprises have experienced changes in their working conditions these past few months because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Notably, there’s been an increase in remote activities such as teleworking. Teleworking furthers a company’s reliance on email for communication, creating perfect conditions for email fraud schemes. At Dynatrace, we’ve implemented the DMARC protocol for our email […]
- Dynatrace innovates again with the release of topology-driven auto-adaptive metric baselines
With Dynatrace version 1.198, all Dynatrace metrics (built-in as well as custom) can now use auto-adaptive baselines rather than static thresholds for root cause analysis and alerting. Auto-adaptive baselines adapt to changing metric behavior over time, thereby avoiding false-positive alert spam.
- Management of synthetic monitors using the credential vault is now easier than ever
The credential vault is a central place to securely store and manage vulnerable data that you use with Dynatrace Synthetic Monitoring. We've made it easier to manage credentials and the monitors that use them, and introduced token credentials and more granular API access to the vault.
- Transform IBM Z applications into Java services with end-to-end transaction visibility and anomaly detection (Preview)
Dynatrace end-to-end transaction visibility for Java applications on z/OS with automated anomaly detection allows you to build efficient and robust business services.
- Introducing Davis data units (DDUs) for increased flexibility with custom metrics
Our new and transparent means of licensing Dynatrace monitoring capabilities provides you with a better monitoring-consumption overview and more flexibility in consuming metrics on the Dynatrace platform.
- Easily monitor your entire infrastructure with Dynatrace Synthetic monitors
Dynatrace OneAgent is great for monitoring the full stack. However, you can’t install OneAgents on every single type of device. There are certain situations when an agent based approach isn’t possible, such as with network or storage devices, or a very old OS. In those cases, what should you do if you want to be […]
General
- Hardware requirements updates - "Trial" node category changed to Micro
- We now support up to 24 nodes per cluster to further support web-scale Dynatrace deployments.

Premium High Availability goes GA
Stability and resilience improvements. The Dynatrace web UI was upgraded so that it supports the filtering of cluster nodes by network region and other properties so it’s more manageable at scale. See below.
Cluster Management Console
Multi-environment ActiveGates are now displayed in a dedicated tile on the CMC Home page and are available on the Deployment status page.
