Set up AMP monitoring
Since there has never been a default standard for the speed of web pages, Google initiated the Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) project, which later became open-source. AMP is a pioneering solution with the goal of increasing the speed of websites by standardized data. AMP allow fast response times by building web pages for static content. This way websites can render much faster. With a growing number of supported analytic tools, content platforms, CMS and further technologies, more and more companies follow the new AMP standard. Dynatrace is a verified vendor and is listed on the official analytics vendors page of the AMP project.
To monitor an AMP application, you need to create a special application in Dynatrace. To do this
- In the Dynatrace menu, go to Deploy Dynatrace.
- Select Set up agentless or AMP monitoring.
- Enable the My application relies on Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) switch, and type in a name for your application.
- Select Copy JavaScript tag to copy the provided RUM JavaScript, and paste it into your application's HTML pages.
AMP applications do not support linking Synthetic monitors and therefore will not show Synthetic traffic.
