Exclude disks and network traffic from host monitoring

OneAgent automatically detects and monitors all mount points and network traffic of a host, but you can exclude selected mount points or network traffic from monitoring.

Go to the Host settings page to view or configure these settings

  1. Select Hosts on the navigation menu and select the host you want to configure.
  2. In the host menu ("..."), select Settings to open the Host settings page.
  3. Depending on what you want to exclude, select Exclude disks or Exclude network traffic.

Exclude disks

Use the Exclude disks settings to create exception rules to remove disks from monitoring. You can select automatically detected disks or manually provide the path to them.

Exclude network traffic

Use the Exclude network traffic settings to exclude traffic on specific network interfaces or hosts from monitoring.

Exclude NIC

All network traffic from all selected NICs is excluded from monitoring. You can select automatically detected NICs or describe them manually.

Exclude IP

All network traffic from all selected host IP addresses is excluded from calculating connectivity (other metrics are still calculated). This can be useful, for example, to avoid false connectivity alerts.
