To enable the Davis Assistant Alexa skill:
Sign in to Amazon with the account associated with your Alexa-compatible device (for example, Amazon Echo).
Open a new tab and go to https://davis.dynatrace.com.
Sign in and open the User profile menu in the top-right corner of the window.
Click Account settings and navigate to Integrations > Alexa skill.
Click the Add Alexa skill button.
Select the Dynatrace environment you'd like to be associated with your Amazon account and click Select environment.
This can be changed later in Account settings > Integrations > Alexa skill.
With your Alexa-compatible device nearby, say
Alexa, launch Davis. You should now be able to interact with Dynatrace. Optionally, you can add the Davis Assistant Voice Navigator Chrome extension to Chrome. The extension allows you to view Dynatrace pages associated with interactions using the Davis Assistant Alexa skill.
International users (outside of the United States)
Due to restrictions imposed by Amazon, international users must select English as their language in their Alexa device settings within the Alexa app.
To change the language associated with your Alexa device:
- Go to your Alexa device settings and sign into your Amazon account.
- Click the Settings list item in the side menu.
- Click beneath the Devices section.
- Scroll down and click the Language list item.
- Select your preferred version of English and click the Save changes button.
International users might have trouble with account linking in the mobile app. It's recommended that you use a desktop web browser to link your account to Davis Assistant. Changing the language associated with your Alexa device will disable any skills not available to users in the selected language.
