Exporting a Web Recorder transaction to a file

If you're having issues with a Web Recorder transaction, it may be helpful to export the transaction to a file for troubleshooting. For example, Customer Support may ask you to provide a file so they can help solve the problem.

To export a transaction as a file:

  1. After recording a transaction, click Show Settings in the Add Test page.
    You can also open a provisioned Web Recorder test into this page. See Editing a Test in the Web Recorder.
  2. At the bottom of the Script Options, click Advanced and then click View GSL Script.
  3. In the popup window, select all the text, then copy it.
  4. Paste the GSL script into a plain-text editor and save it as a file with the extension .json.
