For information about creating reports using these templates, see Creating Reports.

Different templates for different purposes

The Dynatrace Portal provides test templates to review your test results in different ways and two administrative templates to provide Portal information. These self-service report templates enable you to monitor your Portal usage and analyze your testing results from the most useful perspectives. You can share that information with other people even if they do not have Portal accounts.

General Performance reports provide Response Time and Availability metrics. They vary by the level of detail, number of tests supported, use of charts, and inclusion of additional metrics.

Service Level Agreement reports compare Response Time and Availability metrics to thresholds you specify.

Performance-by-provider reports organize test results by the hosts that serve the content.

The Benchmark report compares results from your tests to the results of industry Benchmarks tests.

You can include Benchmark tests on standard reports, as specified below.

The Custom reports template enables you to share a saved chart, with the most current data, on a schedule.

Administrative reports monitor usage of the Portal.

Reports at a glance

The tables below illustrate the scope and metrics for each report.

Report data

Each report presents a different type of data. Some reports include charts; some reports automatically compare data from the current time period to previous intervals.

In general, reports that are very detailed can report on a small number of tests; reports that include less detail can contain data from more tests.

This table provides an overview of the features included in each report.

Metrics by report

This table provides details on specific metrics included in each report.

You can create reports in PDF or Excel format, with the exception of the Saved chart report, which can be HTML or PDF format.

General performance reports
