SSO metadata

Applies to NAM 2018

Housekeeping ► Maintenance, then click the SSO metadata button.

For more about SSO, see Single sign-on (SSO) in NAM.

In general practice, this screen is purely informational, but it may be of use within a testing or debugging context for SSO. It is not part of the typical workflow.

If you edit metadata, you must then click Generate new metadata and copy it to all SPs that will use this metadata.

HTTPS

For better security, this is the recommended type of connection.

The edit box displays the metadata to use for HTTPS connections. If you change the URL or IdP certificate, you must then click Generate new metadata and copy the regenerated metadata (which will now include your changes) to all SPs (NAM Servers) that will use this metadata.

HTTP

This type of connection is not secure and is therefore not recommended. Use HTTPS if possible.

The edit box displays the metadata to use for HTTP connections. If you change the URL or IdP certificate, you must then click Generate new metadata and copy the regenerated metadata (which will now include your changes) to all SPs (NAM Servers) that will use this metadata.
