In the LDAP section you set parameters specific to monitoring LDAP-based software services.
You can choose between Summary and Detailed levels of reporting monitoring data for LDAP.
The NAM Probe monitoring data is limited to the LDAP server related level. No detailed operation name information is monitored at this level.
The NAM Probe monitors and records both, the LDAP server related data and detailed LDAP operation names data.
To view information about LDAP failures in DMI reports, access the Availability tab and configure the appearance of a specific failure type in a DMI report .
You can configure LDAP availability globally or at the software service level.
For global configuration, open NAM Console ► Deployment ► Manage devices, NAM Probe Configuration ► Open configuration, Global ► Other Protocols Monitoring ► LDAP ► Availability. For the software service level, select the Availability tab in the Edit Rule window.
LDAP errors are grouped into the following logical categories from which you can choose to enable or disable their appearance.
For each LDAP error category, there are specific LDAP errors assigned.
Incomplete response. A hit with no response from a server. Disabled by default.
Incomplete response. A response aborted by the user. Enabled by default.
LDAP critical error - Enabled by default.
LDAP server error - Enabled by default.
LDAP security error - Enabled by default.
LDAP syntax error - Enabled by default.
LDAP client error - Enabled by default.
