Viewing a client-network-server breakdown

The DNA Client-Network-Server (CNS) Breakdown view is similar to the Performance Overview. The difference is that the CNS Breakdown ’s client, network, and server time (and WAN optimization time, if applicable) for a task is equal to the total response time.

Use any of the following methods to open a CNS View :

  • Select a task in Task Hierarchy and then select View  ► CNS Breakdown from the main menu bar

  • Right-click a task in Task Hierarchy and select CNS Breakdown from the pop-up menu

  • Select a task in Task Hierarchy and then press [Ctrl-W]

  • Select a task in Task Hierarchy and then click CNS breakdown icon on the toolbar

By default, the CNS Chart tab shows a pie chart representing how much of the selected task was time spent on the client, network, server, or (where applicable) optimized WAN. The CNS Details tab shows the same information in a table.
