Change passwords

The Change Password page lets an administrator change a current user password or an administrator password.

A **user password ** should be given to anyone who wants to view sitedata.

An administrator password should only be given to the one user who will need to set options for other users. The administrator password is required to access the following pages:

  • Alarms
  • Daily E-Mail Reporting Options
  • Utilities

Once an administrator has entered their password at one of these pages, they can display the other restricted pages without re-entering their password.

To change a user password:

  1. In the Type New Password field, enter the new password you want. User passwords need to have at least 8 characters, including at least one number, at least one lowercase character, at least one uppercase character, and at least one special character.

  2. In the Retype New Password field, enter the new password again.

  3. To save the new password, click Update.

    The next time the user logs on to MyKeynote, they will need to enter this new password.

To change the administrator password:

  1. In the Type New Administrator Password field, enter the new password you want. Administrator passwords need to have at least 8 characters, including at least one number, at least one lowercase character, at least one uppercase character, and at least one special character.

  2. In the Retype New Administrator Password field, enter the new password again.

  3. To save the new password, click Update.

    The next time the administrator logs on to MyKeynote and then tries to access a restricted page, they will need to enter this new password.
