This is a step-by-step workflow guide for how to create alert suppressions (Incident Downtimes) based on Business Hours. As a prerequisite, you should be familiar with Incident Downtimes and Business Hours.

Step 1: Create Business Hours definition
To create an alert suppression based on Business Hours, first create a Business Hours definition in the Dynatrace Self-Monitoring System Profile using the call shown in the following image:
Step 2: Create alert suppression
Create an alert suppression for all Incident Rules of the System Profile 'easyTravel' based on the '9 to 5' Business Hours previously created. This suppresses alerts all weekend, and from Monday to Friday 0:00 to 9:00 and 17:00 to 24:00. This can be achieved using the call shown in the following image:
