This page describes Infrastructure Overview dashboard and its view modes: topology; host lists by name or label, process list, and hosts shown as tiles. For infrastructure overview in the AppMon Web, see Operations web view.
Difference between global and System Profile-related overviews
The Infrastructure Overview dashboard, opened from the Monitoring dashboard is always tied to a System Profile, and is showing only related infrastructure. You can also open it as a dashlet, to do so:
- AppMon 2017 May Click the Infrastructure Overview node under the required System Profile in Cockpit, or click Add dashlet icon and select the Infrastructure Overview dashlet from the list.
- AppMon 2018 April Click Infrastructure in the Server section of the sidebar.
To view a global overview of all infrastructure, related to your server, use the Infrastructure node under the required server in Cockpit.
Operations web view is always tied to a System Profile.
The view displays hosts and process, grouped by a host. The color of the host/process icon indicates its state. You can filter the displayed data. Click a host or a process to view the detailed health overview.

Host Tiles view
The view displays host as a tiles with basic information. The color of the tile frame indicates the host state. Click the host to view the detailed info in the right pane. You can filter the displayed hosts by health state. Click the Host Health link at the bottom of the tile to view the detailed health overview.
If the Host Tiles view gets too crowded with the several thousand hosts that can be monitored at once with one AppMon Server, switch to a different view and use its new grouping and filter features.
The shown data can be filtered by selecting different filter options.
Filter options within a group are connected with a logical or. Different filter groups are connected with a logical and. Filters are applied to hosts except for the process list. Application data does not necessarily reflect the selected timeframe but rather the current status.
If Site="site", Hostgroup="Windows" and Hostgroup="Linux" are selected as filters they are grouped as followed:
*Site="site" AND (Hostgroup="Windows" OR Hostgroup="Linux") means that only hosts with Site="site" and either having Hostgroup="Windows" or Hostgroup="Linux" are shown.
