A couple weeks ago we announced the general availability of queue support in Dynatrace. Now Dynatrace helps you understand how much time queue interactions contribute to each service’s response time. Just click Analyze response time on any service page to see the contribution. You’ll see all important queue interactions in addition to how much time they contribute to overall response time.
As an example, the following service request pulls messages from answer_queue.
Although each receipt results in an average delay of about 365 ms, because this queue is called only rarely (8.42% of the time) it only contributes 30.8 ms to the average response time.
