ActiveGate extension that collects important NetApp OnTap metrics from the OnTap 9.6+ REST API for use in Dynatrace.
Collect, view, and analyze metrics from your NetApp OnTap clusters in context with your hosts, applications, and services already being monitored by OneAgents. Make use of powerful charting and dashboarding capabilities as well as allow the Davis® AI causation engine to generate baselines and alert you when anomalies are detected in designated metrics. Metrics will be collected OnTap cluster-wide as well as for each of your nodes and storage virtual machines (SVMs).
Connects to and collects data from the NetApp OnTap API.
Requires an OnTap version with the REST API that was introduced in OnTap 9.6.
Extension consumes DDUs at approximately the following rate per endpoint per year:
(16 + 4 * <number_of_media_types> + 6 * <number_of_nodes> + 3 * <number_of_svms> + 2 * <number_of_disks> + 4 * <number_of_aggregates> + 12 * <number_of_volumes>) * 525.6

Settings > Monitored technologies > Custom extensions > Upload extension
Create an endpoint for each cluster you would like to monitor. This is done in
Settings > Monitored technologies > Custom extensions > Netapp Ontap.
The parameters are:
Cluster wide data will be reported to a Custom Device Group with the name of the discovered cluster. Each discovered node and SVM in the cluster will also be reported as individual Custom Devices within that group. These metrics will also be available for use in the Data Explorer and custom events for alerting like all other metrics.
