Overview
Micrometer is an open-source instrumentation framework for JVM-based application metrics. By adding Dynatrace support to Micrometer, you get intelligent observability and automatic root cause analysis for 17+ pre-instrumented JVM-based frameworks and servers.
This is intended for users who want to:
- Ingest pre-instrumented metrics from Sprint Boot applications
- Ingest pre-instrumented metrics from JVM-based frameworks, servers, and cache systems
- Define custom metrics in JVM-based applications that are to be ingested by Dynatrace
This enables you to:
- Use any of the 17+ pre-instrumented JVM-based frameworks to gather data, automatically send the data to Dynatrace, and have it analyzed by Dynatrace Davis AI
- Automatically feed captured metrics into your Dynatrace Smartscape topology model
- Avoid manual maintenance of hundreds of alerts thanks to our trusted auto-adaptive baseline engine

Get Started
Deploy the Java dependency in your application and configure the token to access the API.
