This Active Gate Plugin will perform SSL certificate checks against the hosts configured in your existing synthetic tests. Its main use case is to validate the expiry date of your certificates, but additional certificate validation procedures such as hostname validation are also optional. Contrary to checking with every synthetic test execution it will only do this at longer intervals and therefore not consume any additional licensing volumes. The plugin will use the Dynatrace API to retrieve configured synthetic monitors and perform certificate checks for them. Any detected violations will then be reported as a problem and cleared upon resolution. The architecture is designed to work with large amounts of endpoints (hundreds of sites to test) with minimal configuration changes or additions to you existing setup.
