Your role at Dynatrace

We are looking for a high-performing and skilled Automation Engineer to join our G&E Finance team in Bangalore. As part of our dynamic and growing IT Center of Excellence, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, scalability, and performance of enterprise applications through robust automation strategies, especially across financial systems such as Varicent, NetSuite and SuccessFactors.

You will play a key role in:

Ensuring that Varicent, NetSuite, SuccessFactors and related finance tools deliver exceptional quality and performance. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks, validating integrations and workflows, and proactively identifying and mitigating quality risks.

Your responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute automation scripts for Varicent and other financial applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve end-to-end processes across sprint grooming, planning, development, testing, and deployment.
• Perform functional, regression, and integration testing across UI, API, and data layers.
• Analyze and recreate defects during User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring issues are documented and resolved effectively.
• Proactively identify quality risks and help remove obstacles to release, ensuring smooth delivery of updates and features.
• Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and documentation to drive efficiency and measurable results.
• Extend successful QA processes to other business applications as required.
• Participate in retrospectives and provide valuable feedback for process optimization.
• Contribute to Agile/Scrum meetings with insights on product functionality, design, and usability.
  
  

What will help you succeed

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum 4 years of experience in test automation, preferably with exposure to Varicent or similar compensation platforms.
• Proven track record as a QA Engineer or similar role with expertise in functional testing, regression testing, and UAT.
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement robust Automation frameworks using Java, C#, or Python.
• Hands-on experience with REST API automation.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience with business applications such as NetSuite, SAP SuccessFactors, and Dell Boomi.
• Familiarity with Varicent configuration, workflows, or data validation.
• Experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium, ACCELQ, or TestNG.
• Experience using Jira for Agile/Scrum project execution
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• ISTQB or equivalent QA certification is a plus.
