Your role at Dynatrace

The OneAgent is a key component of our product. It has a crucial role - enabling the monitoring of mission-critical applications, across over 11 million customer environments and a variety of technologies, while maintaining minimal performance impact.

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our OneAgent team and help us continue pushing the boundaries of innovation.

Your Role

In our OneAgent team, you’ll focus on designing and implementing new features and sensors for our agent. Your work will empower Dynatrace applications and services by securely and efficiently gathering critical data from customers' environments.

If you’re a passionate learner who likes diving deep into the inner workings of language runtimes and widely used frameworks, is curious about bytecode manipulation, and loves low-level programming, this might be your opportunity for an exciting challenge, which will include:

· Modern C++ Development

· Cooperation with local and international development teams

· Independent design and implementation of new features and sensors

· Research and learn about various language runtimes, intermediary language execution, and profiling

· Strong emphasis on memory management, concurrency, performance tuning and native interoperability.

· Analysis of the inner workings of common frameworks through debugging, interrogation etc.

· Investigation and resolution of customer issues, bugs and performance improvements

What will help you succeed

· Being a team player with good communication skills

· Several years of experience as a senior software engineer

· Being curious about various programming languages & technologies

· Striving for reliable and highly optimized code while maintaining its readability

· Adaptive mindset to allow working in a multidisciplinary team

Nice-to-Haves

· Familiarity with managed programming languages (Java, C#, etc…)

· Experience with core dump analysis

· Knowledge about IL execution and runtime instrumentation

· Experience with using or even developing performance profiling tools

· Worked with mixed-mode applications (native + managed)

· Enjoy reverse engineering or digging through obscure runtime behaviors

Compensation and Rewards

• We offer attractive compensation packages and stock purchase options with numerous benefits and advantages.
• Due to legal reasons, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary for this position, which is € 60,000 gross per year based on full-time employment. We offer a higher salary in line with qualifications and experience.
