John Van Siclen, Senior Vice President and General Manager, APM Business Unit

With over twenty-five years of leadership in the computer system and software business, John Van Siclen brings a wealth of experience to Compuware. Over his career, Mr. Van Siclen has held senior executive positions at a number of highly successful growth companies such as dynaTrace software, Interwoven, Informix and NetFRAME Systems. In addition, he has served as CEO at publicly-traded and venture-backed companies, including dynaTrace software (acquired by Compuware), Interwoven (NASDAQ:IWOV), and Perspecta (acquired by Excite@Home). Mr. Van Siclen is responsible for driving Compuware's leadership in Continuous Application Performance Management, and advancing customer success in applying Compuware's solutions to make application performance an integral part of the application lifecycle. Mr. Van Siclen holds an AB from Princeton, and is a Founding Fellow in New England’s Clean Energy executive program.

Bernd Greifeneder, CTO and Founder

As CTO, Bernd Greifeneder leads dynaTrace’s vision for Continuous APM, and has guided dynaTrace R&D from its founding in 2005, earning numerous awards for software innovation. He also served as CEO from 2005 to 2008, leading dynaTrace to consecutive quarters of record growth. As Co-Founder of ARC, Bernd developed SQL.Bench.Web which, through subsequent mergers with Segue and Borland, has become the core technology behind products such as Borland’s SilkPerformer® and SilkCentral TestManager™. In addition, Bernd’s work on production monitoring became BMC TMART, a core offering of BMC Software. Bernd has nine technology patents pending in the United States, and holds an MS from Johannes Kepler University.

Eric Fischer, VP Worldwide Field Operations

As VP of Worldwide Field Operations, Eric Fischer is responsible for building and managing dynaTrace's long-term customer and partner relationships. Eric has more than 20 years of sales experience and a track record of driving early stage companies to high growth. Prior to dynaTrace, Eric was VP of Worldwide Sales for Akorri Networks, OATSystems, Inc. and eRoom Technology where he grew the business from $0 to $60+ M - triggering the largest private software transaction in 2002 (Documentum acquisition) with a deal value in excess of $200 M. Eric also held sales and business development roles at Powersoft Corporation (acquired by Sybase) and Cortex Corporation.

Blair Drenner, VP Business Development

As VP of Business Development Blair will develop and manage the company’s growing number of strategic partners, and investigate and develop new business opportunities to expand the market for dynaTrace products and solutions worldwide. Prior to joining dynaTrace, Blair ran the competitive strategy organization for Tivoli within the IBM software group where he was instrumental in influencing over $100M in sales engagements, working with the IBM partner community, and drastically changing Tivoli solutions to improve their competitive position. During his tenure at IBM, Blair had roles ranging from client engagement management to leading solutions development in the application performance management space. Prior to IBM, Blair was a successful entrepreneur, founding SiteScream, which focused on predictive capacity planning for web servers via a SaaS delivery model. Blair holds a Computer Science degree from University of Texas, Austin.

Hubert Gerstmayr, VP Finance and Legal

Serving as VP Finance/Legal at dynaTrace, Hubert Gerstmayr brings substantial experience in sales and finance. Before his work with dynaTrace, Hubert managed subsidiaries of FactorBank AG and was responsible for developing new financial products. His career began in the financial department at LKW Walter International AG and continued with the sales organization at Prisma Kreditversicherungs AG. Hubert holds an M.B.A. from Johannes Kepler University.
